Supported Housing Volunteer Role (flexible)
Our service accommodates individual 18+ who have experienced or been at risk of homelessness as well as having other support needs which include mental health, substance and alcohol misuse, domestic violence, learning disabilities and offending.
You would not be expected to do something you do not feel comfortable and encourage you to speak to us about what skills and experience you can bring to the service.
Here are some examples of tasks volunteers can assist with:
- Being a point of call for our customers and visitors who attend the reception.
- Supporting customers to learn new skills such as getting online or even being there for a chat for emotional support.
- Assisting in customer events such as the breakfast mornings, gardening clubs and budget management sessions.
- Litter picks on the scheme
- Supporting customers to and from appointments, shopping and general living skills.
There will also be a training package included in this role within your induction, you will be given the opportunity to gain new skills and experience while improving your confidence and self-esteem.
The role will be flexible to your availability, however, we are unable to accept weekend only.
