Join our creative volunteers sorting donations, boosting mental health, and making a positive impact
We're looking for volunteers to help with sorting art and craft donations ready for eBay and Community groups.
Crafting4Good CIC supports mental health through creativity. We have received funding to help sort through a large backlog of donated art and craft materials, for distribution to community groups and organisations or selling on eBay. This project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund:
What Will I Do?
Working with our Volunteer Coordinators:
- It's a physically demanding role, with lifting and moving, walking to the toilets in the main building and an uphill walk up to reach us, unless you drive (ample parking).
- Warehouse-type work in a small building, dusty, drafty etc.
- You will sort through boxes and bags of art, craft, textile and haberdashery donations (this is where any knowledge and expertise is valuable!) to source items for eBay and Community groups.
- You will be sorting in boxes and bags that have been in storage
When, Where & How Long For?
- Slots Available: Let us know your availability, possibly Thursdays but we are yet to decide
- Penny Appeal Campus, Thornes Park, Wakefield
- Regularly each week (or as a one-off)
Expenses
We will pay for your travel expenses i.e. bus, train tickets and car mileage of 45p per mile.Deadline: Tue 25th February, 2025
