Volunteer cook

Could you help us maintain our Wednesday lunch time sessions by cooking once a week?
3 hrs / week Flexible

Being our volunteer cook for Wednesdays would involve coming in for 9am to prepare a canteen style meal for between 70-80 people, the food must be ready for when we open at 12. (We then serve between 12-2pm)

Our Services Manager would liase with you a few days before regarding what food we have in and what needs using up so you will know what you will be cooking on the day.

Initially you will be fully supported by our Services Manager who can assist with every aspect of the cooking, once you have settled into the role this will become much more autonomous.

Examples of meals we cook regularly are:

Nuggets/burgers with chips & beans

Chicken casseroles with veg

Chilli con carne

**You do not need professional experience as a cook just a general know how in the kitchen, there's an opportunity to complete the Level 2 food & hygiene with us if you don't already.**
